Vara
San Francisco, California
2012

The initial task on the Vara project involved finding a suitable name for the residential development, which was previously known solely by its address: 1600 Mission. This marked one of our first experiences collaborating with a property developer to establish a brand entirely from scratch. Drawing inspiration from the site's historical significance, which was once home to an old printing press producing fruit box labels for local produce suppliers, we sought to reflect the deep connection with the Hispanic culture of its Mission neighborhood and the rich history of California agriculture.
